Akira Marie Hippolyte earned both her Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Anthropology at Trinity College. Her interdisciplinary academic training has provided her with a strong foundation in understanding the complex relationships among culture, identity, health, and human behavior. Her unique research experience with young Black women has additionally inspired her interdisciplinary research interests within the field. Her long-term goal is to conduct clinically meaningful, culturally responsive research that expands representation in Psychology while improving assessment, intervention, and access to care for historically underserved populations. As a Psychometrist and Clinical Operations Associate at Hazel Approach Psych Services, Akira Marie believes that everyone has a right to culturally responsive care. She strives to make each one of her clients feel seen and comfortable during testing. ​
