Tanjira Spaulding, M.A.
Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology
Tanjira Spaulding is a 4th year student in William James College’s clinical psychology doctoral program. Tanjira earned her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 2014 followed by a master’s in psychology from William James College in 2022. Her doctoral research focuses on harm reduction strategies for opioid use disorder. Her other interests include culturally informed assessment working with marginalized populations, particularly the LGBTQIA+ community. She believes that understanding the unique experiences of marginalized communities is essential to providing effective mental health care and assessment.
